ENTERPRISE NETWORK SECURITY
Enterprise Firewall Solutions for Business Networks
Control which connections may enter, leave or cross your business network. Firewall design starts with the applications people use, the systems they need to reach and the traffic the gateway must inspect during busy periods.
CloudShots Technologies helps your IT team assess these requirements, compare suitable platforms and coordinate implementation across sites. Together we define access policies, migration tests and operational ownership before cutover.

What Is an Enterprise Firewall?
An enterprise firewall enforces rules where traffic crosses a security boundary. It evaluates connections against configured policies, permits approved flows and can record or block others. A perimeter firewall governs external access. An internal firewall can restrict movement between network zones when traffic is routed through it.

State tracking lets a firewall recognise return traffic belonging to an allowed connection. Application identification and deeper inspection depend on the platform, encryption and enabled services. Identity controls, endpoint protection and secure configuration remain part of the wider security design.

Where Enterprise Firewalls Fit
Core Firewall Capabilities
Choose controls against specific traffic and access requirements. Confirm platform support, licences and processing capacity for each feature.

Enterprise Firewall Architecture
In an example routed design, internet or WAN traffic reaches the firewall’s outside interface. Separate inside interfaces or routed VLANs connect the internal LAN and DMZ. A published application in the DMZ should reach only the internal services it requires. Network address translation, when used, and security policy serve different purposes.

Traffic paths and policy boundaries
Branch tunnels and remote-user VPNs can terminate on the firewall or a separate concentrator. Apply identity and destination policies after tunnel termination. A cloud workload follows the route selected for its network; cloud traffic is inspected at this gateway only when the routing design puts it in the path.
Internet/WAN connects to the firewall. The LAN and DMZ branch independently from that boundary. Branch and remote connections enter at marked tunnel endpoints. A routed cloud connection identifies its own enforcement point. Dashed links show administration and log export. An optional peer has a separate HA link. Management and log collectors sit outside the user forwarding path.
Review the network hardware and infrastructure that carries inspected traffic and the cloud connectivity used for remote workloads.
Firewall Capacity & Design Considerations
A headline throughput figure rarely describes the load at a particular site. Size for the traffic mix, active services and failure conditions you intend to test.

Enterprise Firewall Use Cases
Select the enforcement point according to the users, applications and routes involved.

For distributed sites, review the internet leased line, SD-WAN or MPLS VPN paths that carry branch traffic.
Hardware, Virtual & Cloud Firewalls
Compare the deployment models against your traffic paths and operating responsibilities.

The appropriate model depends on where traffic flows, how quickly demand changes and who will operate the enforcement point.
Firewall Deployment & Feasibility
Agree the migration sequence, acceptance tests and rollback responsibilities before cutover.
